AVES

José Navas is creating a new piece for the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, featuring its second-year students.

In this piece, José Navas is inspired by the idea of the mythology of the phoenix and its ability to be reborn into life from the ashhes of its predecessor. From the rain forest sounds to Ravel’s Bolero, this piece is about resilience and rebirth, all expressed in movement.
