AVES is a luminous dance ritual of hope and optimism set to the music of James Brown, Bach, PJ Harvey, Billie Holliday, Dorothy Moore and Satie. Through a series of solos, the piece invites the audience to an intimate encounter with the artist through his personal history with the late choreographer Bill Douglas.
